The Lantern Festival, marked by the full moon and bright lanterns, is a traditional Chinese festival. The 15th day of the first lunar month is the first full-moon night of the year—a night when the new cycle begins and the earth once again bursts into spring. On this day, people across the country celebrate joyfully, praying for a smooth and prosperous new year. Hence the custom of "Celebrating the Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the first lunar month." As the auspicious Lantern Festival of the Year of Gui Mao approaches, the Eight Great Masters Memorial Hall is specially presenting a special event titled “Celebrating the Lantern Festival at the Eight Great Masters’ Museum,” which combines online and offline activities to make the festival even more enjoyable and help everyone cherish the festive spirit of the New Year.
