Recently, “The Communist Party Must Have Discipline” The exhibition “Deng Xiaoping’s Important Statements on Discipline Building” opened as scheduled at the Xiaoping Xiaodao Exhibition Hall in Nanchang City, attracting numerous visitors who stopped to take a closer look.

The success of the exhibition would not have been possible without one person. — The diligent efforts and unwavering dedication of Meng Xin, Deputy Director (in charge of daily operations) of the Xiaoping Trail Exhibition Hall in Nanchang City. Since joining the cultural and museum sector in 2008, Meng Xin has devoted her youth and hard work to this red land. From an ordinary docent, she has risen to become a capable and independent deputy director today. She has witnessed the transformation of the exhibition hall and, through her concrete actions, exemplified the sense of responsibility and commitment expected of Party members and cadres in the new era.

“My original aspiration has always been to carry forward the red gene, enabling more people to learn about Comrade Xiaoping’s outstanding achievements and Jiangxi’s red culture, and ensuring that the red gene continues to shine brightly in the new era,” Meng Xin often says—and that’s exactly what she does. Under her leadership, the exhibition hall has continuously innovated its social education approaches, deepened Party-building guidance, and achieved remarkable results by seamlessly integrating Party-building work with professional operations. Over the past three years, the exhibition hall has received a total of 21 national, provincial, and municipal awards and honorary titles in the field of social education. This not only recognizes the hard work of Meng Xin and her team but also provides strong impetus for the inheritance of red culture.

“The inheritance of red culture is inseparable from in-depth study and research,” said Meng Xin. Therefore, she has always placed great emphasis on strengthening theoretical education and enhancing professional competence. By organizing study sessions on Party theories and conducting seminars on red culture, she continuously improves both her own and her team’s theoretical understanding and practical abilities. The Party classes she leads—such as “The Power of Spirit: The Little Path of Xiaoping,” “The Power of Faith: Reflecting on the Chinese Communist Party’s Original Aspirations Through Deng Xiaoping’s Legendary Life,” and “The Power of Personality: The Exemplary Spirit of Chen Yun”—have all won various national, provincial, and municipal awards.

Staying true to our original aspirations, we demonstrate loyalty through action and ignite our fighting spirit with concrete deeds. To ensure that the red culture spreads more widely and with greater impact, Meng Xin has planned and launched... “Setting Sail: A Springtime Story”—Jiangxi has pioneered an immersive, real-scene interactive theater featuring a red-themed venue and has staged 11 special performances. The “Spring Mud Initiative—A Grand Ideological and Political Lesson at the Xiaoping Trail Museum,” held to commemorate International Museum Day on May 18, has received an overwhelmingly positive response from the public. According to statistics, over the past three years, under her leadership, the Xiaoping Trail Museum in Nanchang has conducted a total of 356 various social education activities, reaching an online audience of 18.7 million person-times.

Dare to take responsibility Innovative Red Education

Meng Xin is not only an outstanding inheritor of culture but also an educator who dares to take responsibility and is courageous in innovation. “To ensure that red culture deeply resonates with people, we must continuously innovate both the forms and content of education,” said Meng Xin.

To this end, she led her team in planning a series of exhibitions and events that were both content-rich and diverse in form. From original thematic exhibitions to displays on family traditions and touring exhibitions on the rule of law, each innovative endeavor received widespread acclaim. —The “Great Ideological and Political Education” red-education project, themed “Xiaoping’s Little Path Carries Ideas, Springtime Stories Lead to National Prosperity,” created by her, has been selected as a high-quality, exemplary resource for ideological and political education centered on revolutionary cultural relics by the National Cultural Heritage Administration and the Ministry of Education. The “Feel the Pulse of History, Chase Red Dreams—Xiaoping’s Little Path Cultural Heritage Study Tour,” which she spearheaded and planned, has also been included in the China Cultural Relics News’ promotional campaign “Follow National Treasures on Study Tours.” These exhibitions and activities not only allow visitors to soak up the red culture in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere but also enable them to deeply appreciate the noble spirit and great sentiments of the revolutionary forebears.

This marks a powerful attempt by the museum to leverage advanced technologies such as virtual reality and augmented reality to create digital, interactive red education products. “We hope that by continuously harnessing technological means, we can not only enrich the forms and content of red education but also enable visitors to deeply grasp the essence and value of red culture through immersive experiences,” said Meng Xin.
