　　Lecture content: "From Carpenter to Master——Qi Baishi's Life and Art"

　　Xue Liang first shared with the audience the life experience of how Qi Baishi grew from a carpenter to an art master. Qi Baishi's life experience can be divided into three stages: the first stage, Lu Ban's disciples. I worshiped my uncle as a teacher to learn "rough woodwork", and later changed to "small woodwork" with a carpenter. The second stage: meeting the enlightenment teacher of life. At the age of 27, he learned fine brushwork of flowers, birds, plants and insects under the squire Hu Qinyuan as his teacher, and learned landscape and figure painting from folk painters. The third stage: five out and five returns. When Qi Baishi was 40 years old, he followed the ancients' teaching of "reading thousands of books and traveling thousands of miles" and began to travel from his hometown. He has traveled through Shaanxi, Henan, Beijing, Hebei, Hubei, Jiangxi, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Guangxi and other places, covering more than half of China. He called the eight-year experience "five out and five returns".
