On December 19, the China Federation of Overseas Chinese Associations issued the “Notice of the China Federation of Overseas Chinese Associations on Confirming the 11th Batch of China Overseas Chinese International Cultural Exchange Bases,” designating 69 institutions and organizations nationwide as the 11th batch of China Overseas Chinese International Cultural Exchange Bases. As one of the three institutions from Jiangxi Province selected this time, Eight Great Mountains Man Memorial Hall Received this honor.

 

 

Eight Greats of the Mountain enjoyed great acclaim in the art world, and renowned masters such as Wu Changshuo, Qi Baishi, Zhang Daqian, and Pan Tianshou were all influenced by him. In 1985, he was named by UNESCO as one of the Ten Great Cultural Figures of Ancient China.

 

 

The Eight Great Mountains Man Memorial Hall is located at Qingyunpu, by the Dingshan Bridge on Meihu Lake, about fifteen Chinese miles south of Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. It is China’s first memorial hall dedicated to an ancient painter. Today, it is designated as a national first-class museum with a well-established operational mechanism. The facility boasts fully equipped venues for activities, visitor areas, exhibition spaces, and promotional facilities, and is staffed with full-time administrators and professional docents. As of now, the Eight Great Mountains Man Memorial Hall provides an average of annual guided tour services each year. Over 2,000 events.

 

 

The memorial hall actively engages in cultural exchange and collaborative exhibitions with museums and art galleries of various types both at home and abroad each year, creating... The “Eight Great Mountainsmen—Dialogue Series” exhibition brand, combined with high-quality lectures and forums held in conjunction with traditional Chinese festivals, has played a positive role in promoting China’s outstanding cultural heritage and enhancing the external influence of regional cultures.

 

In recent years, the venue has welcomed nearly a thousand overseas international friends and overseas Chinese from countries including Japan, Spain, the Philippines, and Cambodia, who have visited and exchanged ideas at the venue. The venue has also actively undertaken activities organized by the provincial and municipal associations for overseas Chinese. A series of cultural exchange activities, including youth cultural exchanges and visits under the themes of “Gan-Hong-Kowloon” and “Hong-Kowloon,” further strengthen cultural ties and enhance emotional identification.
