We warmly celebrate the Eight Great Mountains Memorial Hall’s well-deserved honor of being awarded the national-level first-class museum designation.

  The Eight Great Mountains Man Memorial Hall is located in the picturesque Meihu Scenic Area of Qingyunpu. Established in October 1959, it is China’s first memorial hall dedicated to an ancient painter. The predecessor of the Eight Great Mountains Man Memorial Hall was the Qingyunpu Daoist Monastery, which can be traced back as far as the Western Han Dynasty. During the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Xu Xun, in addition to his work in flood control, also established a Daoist monastery here, founding the “Jingming School” of Taoism...   You’re absolutely right. As it happens, we’re constantly recruiting volunteers here, and we’d love for you to join our volunteer team. Here’s what you can look forward to: 1. Learn all about the life and works of Bada Shanren and the history of the Qingyunpu Ancient Architecture. 2. Meet a group of like-minded friends who share your passions. 3. Receive a free copy of the journal “Research on Bada Shanren.” 4. Enjoy priority access to lectures and events hosted by our museum.

  Requirements: 1. Age between 18 and 60, gender unrestricted. 2. Good appearance and physical and mental health, with strong verbal expression and communication skills. 3. Volunteer service hours should generally be no fewer than twice a month, with each session lasting at least 2 hours (or a total of at least 4 hours per month).

The Eight Great Galleries on the Move | “Cultivating Beauty, Inheriting Classics—The Ba Da Shan Ren Aesthetic Education Program Comes to Hongyan School in Nanchang County”

To promote China’s outstanding traditional culture, actively advance aesthetic education in museums, and cultivate in young people noble virtues of love for their country and hometown, enabling students to acquire knowledge and closely appreciate the beauty of Chinese painting art, on the morning of November 14, 2023, the Ba Da Shan Ren Aesthetic Education Program made its way into Hongyan School in Nanchang County. This session introduced students to traditional Chinese art and local culture through an exhibition, a lecture, and a brush-and-ink workshop. By combining theoretical learning with hands-on practice, it aimed to enhance cultural confidence, improve students’ aesthetic and humanistic literacy, and foster their abilities in aesthetic appreciation, expression, and creation.
